We’ve had a great time performing at a couple of brilliant choir festivals – Voices of London and Chorus – in the last couple of weeks!
On Tuesday 20th June we joined four other choirs for the Voices of London Festival‘s community choir concert at St James Paddington. This was our debut performance at this festival, and we loved it so much! It was so great to meet and enjoy performances from Islington Community Choir, the Union Chapel Singers, Collier’s Wood Chorus, and the Ipswich Hospital Singers. Joining together at the end of the concert for a mass performance of Elbow’s One Day Like This was really special.
Then on Sunday 2nd July we were part of Choirs Take the Stage at the Southbank Centre’s Chorus Festival 2017. Bringing together choirs of all shapes and sizes and genres, the festival is a brilliant celebration of all things vocal. This is the third time we’ve performed at Chorus – and we love it! Here’s a post-performance group shot from the Mandela Statue stage in the sunshine…
What a joy to be a part of these two brilliant festivals – thank you for having us Voices of London and Chorus!
And there’s more! Though we’re not performing at Voices Now this weekend, some of us will be going along to enjoy more singing performances and workshops at the Roundhouse in Camden. Get yourself along, maybe we’ll see you there!
